Life & Leadership Skills for Youth Resilience & Leadership Development

Purpose Foundation’s Life & Leadership Skills programme equips high school learners with the tools to develop emotional resilience, leadership abilities, and self-awareness. Mentorship-led by university students, these camps and workshops provide hands-on experiences that prepare youth for academic success, personal growth, and meaningful community impact.

Mentorship for Personal Growth

Learners are guided through interactive sessions, role-playing exercises, and reflective activities. University students mentor participants on leadership, goal-setting, and problem-solving, building confidence and self-esteem.

Project Highlight: In 2025, the programme successfully supported Grade 12 learners at Durban Girls High School, providing personalized guidance on university applications, career choices, and study resources, ensuring a smoother transition to tertiary education.

Emotional Resilience & Life Skills

Through practical exercises and discussions, students learn to manage stress, navigate challenges, and make informed decisions. This strengthens their ability to overcome adversity while fostering personal responsibility.

Community Leadership & Civic Engagement

Our camps encourage learners to apply their skills in community initiatives, cultivating a sense of responsibility, teamwork, and civic awareness. Participants leave empowered to make positive contributions to their schools and communities.
